About Us:  MyFilmmaker.com is a talent marketplace that matches the best North American filmmaking and videographer talent with corporate clients and individuals (we call them “Producers” or “Buyers”) who want to produce attention-grabbing, affordable video productions and film.

 Proposition: The MyFilmmaker.com value proposition is based on the philosophy that the best creative talent produces winning video and film content, and that this talent need not break the bank.   In its simplest form, MyFilmmaker.com sources three bids from talented filmmakers for clients who want to produce high quality, affordable video productions.  These clients then evaluate the filmmakers’ bids and choose the one that they want to create the video production.

History: As operators of the YoungCuts Film Festival, one of the world’s largest film festivals for young talent, we have been evaluating filmmaking talent since 2001.  During this time, we estimate that we have evaluated the films of more than 10,000 participating filmmakers, from around the world. These filmmakers now range in age from 20 to 30 years old.  Of these filmmakers, we began working with the best ones in 2005 when YoungCuts Inc. began producing film and video for corporate clients.  The best of these filmmakers now make up our North American network of 1,500 pre-screened filmmakers and videographers who are eager to create the high quality, affordable video that clients want.

Talent Marketplace: Rapidly advancing Internet and wireless technologies are driving demand for quality video at low prices. In mid-2009, we gave birth to MyFilmmaker.com in response to the difficulties that video producers described in their attempts to find the best creative talent fast, and not overpay for a job.  From our film production and festival experience, we knew that there was plenty of unknown, highly skilled creative talent capable of doing the job. We also respond to filmmakers’ and videographers' keen interest in advancing their careers, dedicating their time to their profession and minimizing the time spent building and administering their small businesses.

Filmmakers must submit portfolio work and meet MyFilmmaker.com quality standards before they can join the MyFilmmaker.com network. MyFilmmaker.com also offers a variety of services to help video producers and filmmakers manage project creative processes and administration.  The MyFilmmaker.com Five Star Plan can be used by qualified filmmakers, whether or not they use MyFilmmaker.com marketing services to source projects.
